One time Wailers bass player Aston "Family Man" Barrett and his interpretation of Bob's classic. A more modern approach to a timeless tune.

  1. Great track! Thanks for posting.
I have a funny question, though. The screaming: is it a human voice or some kind of techno trick. I'm just curious.

  2. Glad you're enjoying it! The scream you hear at the introduction is taken from a Halloween sound effects record called Music and Effects Of A Terrifying Nature and the track is called "Jane Screaming In Agony"... one of my favorite screams and one that I use a couple times in each years mix... what I do is set the last part of the scream using an effect called long panning echo on the Garageband software... I isolated the scream's echo and just placed it throughout the track to add to the effect. So yes it's a human voice that's been manipulated using a sort of techno trick! :)
