  2. I put it in sleep mode, went back to power it up again and it had turned itself off... I attempted to restart it and it didn't respond. I took it in to have it diagnosed and they told me it could either be the power supply or the logic board... sure enough, it was the logic board - completely fried. The computer was 7 years old so it doesn't make financial sense to repair it... it looks like I'm going to be out of commission for the foreseeable future and it makes the Halloween Spooktacular a near impossibility.

  4. I didn't know of a logic board until they told me mine had gone bad... I liked it better when I had never heard of a logic board. :)

well considering the price of machines nowadays 7 years was pretty good, now i,m worried this g4 is gonna blow/ I presume you can get all the stuff off it when they pull out the hard disk.

You should think of how environmentally friendly you have been in not upgrading years ago.

  6. I was able to salvage all the stuff off the old hard drive... now I'm just waiting to win the lottery so that I can finance a new computer!

  8. Jason, it's gonna be a hustle but I'm still hopeful that I'll be able to pull it off... one way or another.
