The Jamaican Halloween Spooktacular 2012!

Greeting friends!  Are you ready for the 2012 Jamaican Halloween Spooktacular?  I am running a tad bit behind on getting the mix finalized but I can guarantee that you that the Halloween mix will live!!  Just like previous years, I will be posting a different song each weekday, complete with all the spookiness you've come to expect when the leaves change color and the weather takes a turn for the chilly.  I will start with our daily posts on Wednesday but I wanted to assure everyone that I am in fact ready to spread the Halloween vibes in a J-A Style!  I'm keeping the write-ups short this year because the lack of response is infuriating and I've finally learned to just let it go... Stay tuned!

  3. Excited to see you back in action. It's the highlight of the Halloween season for us. We're headed to Jamaica for the first time in January. Let us know of any roots reggae specific can't-miss highlights if you know of any.

Thanks so much for these excellent compilations.

    Oh. My. Gawd.

Here we are again, at the beginning of October - and you just upped the ante AGAIN.
John, my admiration and respect know no bounds. In 'real life', I'm a graphic designer (yeah, like who isn't these days?) whose biggest guilty pleasure since c. 1966 has been horror comics - hence plenty of spoof covers over the years. But THESE... oh, man. From years back I knew our interests were pretty parallel, but this is getting er, scary.
Heartfelt greetings from the UK, and hope all's really well your end. Judging by the visible level of inspiration, I daresay I needn't worry.

Can't wait to hear the treats you've got lined up - and thanks in advance for all the hard work you've put into making Halloween uniquely special for so many of us. You're a damn beacon.

    Big love and shudders,
    Christofari

  6. Howdy! I recently discovered your incredible Halloween comps via rogerwilkerson on tumblr. The only one I've gotten so far is the 2007 non-Jamaican Halloween Spooktacular and it is so good! The detail in the mix is so great with the sound effects and drop-ins.
Looking forward to the final 2012 JA mix and I'm hoping that you will be offering it on here as a full set as one long track like the 2007 comp, because some of the links for individual downloads are no longer working (#7 and lower).
Your hard work, good taste in music and attention to detail are all very appreciated!
