I am still up-in-the-air about doing a Spooktacular for 2017... I've got the tunes in a playlist but I don't know if I've got the motivation to get to mixing... if I do get this thing going this year it's going to be available as one continuous mix not in the individual pieces like previous years... OR I may just post it over on the Distinctly Jamaican Sounds Mixcloud channel.  Any thoughts?

I hope this means what I think it does....

Those Halloween Mixes are one of my favorite things about this time of year. I love all of them. However, it must be a LOT of work, especially trying to find new songs every year that haven't been included before but meet the "horror" prerequisite. Of course I'd love another one but I understand if you can't do it this year. Or, if you just decide to put it out as one mega mix later this month.

One thing I hope you do is re-upload each of the individual songs (not the mixes -- I have all of those), so I can choose my favorites to make a "master mix" of sorts. I have my favorites from every year, and while I can listen to the originals outside the mix, it's really the movie clips & FX that make it a real Spooktacular mix.

Anyway, thanks again for making these little treasures (and all of your mixes, which are awesome). You do have fans out there.

By the way, the addition of the modified classic EC Comics covers with each song was absolutely inspired. In one of the comments a long time back you mentioned who made them and where they came from. I've been trying to find that comment ever since, because I'd love to peruse the original art your designer used. Could you share that info again?

In any format, I would be rather excited for another Halloween Mix! Bring it! Doing the good you should in the neighborhood!

Anything you put up will be appreciated. I know that it must be super hard at this point to find new things. Thanks for all of the work you've done in the past to share this kinda strange (but wonderful) perspective on Halloween through Jamaican pop songs!

I too am a fan, and hope that you find the time and energy to concoct a new Spooktacular. If you do, I would vote for it to be here on the blog, but will be happy to have it in any form. Thank you very much for all the prior compilations. I too would love to have the individual songs, I have a couple years from the daily countdowns, but realize that will probably never happen again, but hey, I can always ask :)

Man, I've been looking forward to your mixes, playing them every halloween party in full and all previous ones all Hallows Eve!! I'm a silent participant most times, but I still haven't seen anything this year yet, and I feel empty!! Jk. Love your mixes, your descriptions and your covers. Absolutely, you should share!! Can't wait and thank you.

Pleased to see unanimous encouragement for your imcomparable work!

Like everyone who appreciates all the daunting collaborative effort that's gone into each year's Spooktacular to date, all I can do is express HUGE gratitude and assure you that WHATEVER form you're able to do something in, there's a lot of others besides us (tho perhaps less vocal) who will dig the sh*t out of it.
Big love, buddy - and all power and happiness to you.

From the (oozing, still warm) heart...
