I've got some great rare tunes lined up for this years mix and I hope you're gonna love it!Kickin' off the 2011 Jamaican Halloween Spooktacular are the Upsetters with their tune "Midnight Doctor." Originally released as a 7" on the Upsetter label and eventually landing on the classic 1969 Return Of Django LP on the Trojan label, this rocking, yet creepy sounding tune gives us the push to help get this ball rolling. The Upsetters original organist, the late great Glen Adams gets in his licks on this one... just wicked early/skinhead reggae at its finest!
Some may assume that the Upsetters are referencing a "Night Doctor" that pays nighttime visits to his female patients, if you catch my drift, but for me personally the tune sounds menacing enough to warrant locking your doors, turning off the lights and hiding underneath the bed! I don't think you want a "housecall" from this guy!
